What is AIESEC?

AIESEC is a youth leadership movement driven by one cause, peace and fulfillment of humankind's potential. AIESEC was established in 1948 after World War II, where seven youth across seven countries had a dream of building cross-cultural understanding across nations. They hoped to change the world, one person and one internship at a time.

In AIESEC, they believe that youth are the key to shaping a better future. Through each and every experience they provide, they strive to develop youth leaders with the following qualities:

  1. Ability to Empower Others: Communicates clearly, engages in meaningful conversations and creates spaces that empower others to take action.
  2. Solution Oriented: Flexible, ready to take risks, and actively finds solutions to challenges.
  3. World Citizen: Aware of global events and enjoys taking an active role in contributing to making it a better place for everyone.
  4. Self Aware: Understands personal strengths, lives by his/her values and constantly explores passions.
