<p>The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), in cooperation with the African Regional Committee (ARC), is offering several <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>grants&nbsp;</strong></a>for 2020 to young African researchers who have graduated with a <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships?phd=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>PhD&nbsp;</strong></a>or an equivalent degree (in fundamental or clinical research) and who have demonstrated their ability to carry out independent research).&nbsp;</p><h3>Eligibility Criteria:</h3><ol><li>Potential candidates should look for a host institution (within Africa or abroad) and provide a research proposal and detailed information on how the funds will be spent.</li><li>Selection criteria include academic credentials of the applicant and the host, as well as the quality of the research proposal (complete with a structured research plan).&nbsp;</li><li>The duration of such exchanges should be a&nbsp;minimum&nbsp;of four weeks.</li><li>Strong justification must be provided ensuring the applicant will return home after the exchange, in addition to an explanation of how the newly gained knowledge and skills will be used to advance neuroscience research in their home country.</li><li>The applicant should be a resident in Africa, 45 years or younger and have published significant research achievements in fundamental or clinical neuroscience.</li></ol><h3>Funding:</h3><p>The organization offers<strong>&nbsp;awards of up to &euro;4000.</strong></p><h3>About the International Brain Research Organization:</h3><p>The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is the global federation of neuroscience organizations established in 1961 that aims to promote and support neuroscience around the world through training, teaching, research, outreach and engagement activities.
