Opportunity description

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at university of Strathclyde is offering a number of Presidents Scholarships for international students, to recognise academic achievement and to attract the best engineering students from around the world.

The Presidents Scholarship is unique to Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at University of Strathclyde as they are the only UK MAE Department to have had five past Presidents of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is available for application to all self-funded, new international (non-EU) fee-paying students holding an offer of study for the University of Strathclyde.
  • You must start your postgraduate taught programme at Strathclyde this academic year (2019-2020).

The application process

  1. Apply for the engineering course of your choice.
  2. Receive your offer letter for your course.
  3. Apply for this scholarship.
  4. If you're successful, you'll receive your scholarship offer letter via email.

You should write no more than 500 words on why you should receive a Faculty of Engineering Excellence Scholarship. Application forms and relevant academic transcripts should be returned as early as possible to eng-scholarships@strath.ac.uk.

Important Notes

  • The value of each award is £2,000, and shall be a contribution towards tuition fees.
  • The Presidents Scholarships are open to all well-qualified international applicants joining the one year full-time postgraduate MSc programmes in session 2019/20.
  • Students who apply for the Faculty of Engineering Excellence Scholarship (FEES) will automatically be considered for the Presidents Scholarship.
