Taipei City Government invites designers from all parts of the world to participate in the 2021 Taipei International Design&nbsp;<a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Award</a>.&nbsp;<h3>About The Award:&nbsp;</h3>Taipei City Government organizes the Taipei International Design Award in the ethos of “Design for Adaptive City”, as an on-going gesture to the world, particularly to those with a passion for creativeness and design, a gesture in projecting the urban branding imagery of “Design Taipei; Dream Taipei. The competition was known as Taipei Industrial Design Award between 2008 and 2011, re-named in 2012 as Taipei International Design Award, and has been so-called since.Designers from all parts of the world are invited to participate with original creations completed after 30 June 2017. Entries are accepted in these three main categories: Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design, and Public Space Design.&nbsp;Award Categories:&nbsp;<ul><li>Industrial Design — refers to design works that can be mass-produced, including general and digital application, transportation tools, equipment and instruments, daily utilities and household goods, IT and home appliances, etc.</li><li>Visual Communication Design — includes designs of digital graphics creations, identity, posters, packaging, and printing – including digital, etc.</li><li>Public Space Design — designs for open space provided for public use, government buildings and certain private establishments.&nbsp;</li></ul>

The competition sums up to a total prize fund of NT$ 3,800,000 — which is more than $127,000 (USD).&nbsp;

<ul><li>Everyone around the world is welcomed to participate individually or as a group (each group is limited to five members) with one member as the main correspondent.</li><li>Entries must be original creations of the contestants completed after June 30, 2017.</li></ul><h3>Applying Requirements:&nbsp;</h3><ul><li>Documents:&nbsp;</li></ul><ol><li>All entries need to be registered online and obtain a serial number to complete registration.</li><li>Applicant must upload design concept description, max. 500 words. (English as the main language supported by other languages when necessary).</li><li>Applicant must upload the name of the work (English as the main language, supported by other languages when necessary).&nbsp;</li></ol><ul><li>Sketches:&nbsp;</li></ul><ol><li>Industrial Design Category:&nbsp;Maximum 3 photos of the same work from different angles. Compressed photos can be in jpg/png/bmp formats of the size W1190*H840 pixels, resolution above 72 dpi. Max. 3MB per photo.</li><li>Visual Communication Design Category:&nbsp;Maximum 3 photos of the same work. Compressed photos can be in jpg/png/bmp formats of the size W1190*H840 pixels, resolution above 72 dpi. Max. 3MB per photo. Applicant must keep the original file.</li><li>Public Space Design Category:&nbsp;Maximum 5 photos of the same work from different angles.
