Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia is offering international PhD students the opportunity to apply for a scholarship in which The successful candidate will commence the Ph.D. study as soon as possible and will contribute to the following research project supported by QUT and an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery for Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA). The School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment (CEBE) in the Science and Engineering Faculty is offering a Ph.D. scholarship to conduct innovative research to improve mental health and safety in the construction industry.
Funding:
- The value of this scholarship is $27,596 per annul, (tax-exempt).
- This award is to be used to support research and living expenses.
- This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years and tuition fee waivers are available for international applicants.
Eligibility Criteria:
You must have one of the following:
- completed a high-quality honors degree in:
- Construction management.
- Quantity surveying.
- Civil engineering.
- Psychology.
- Statistics.
- Other relevant disciplines.
- A coursework masters degree with at least 25% research.
- A research master degree from a recognized institution or equivalent overseas qualifications.
You must have a background in one of:
- Construction.
- Built environment.
- Civil engineering.
- Psychology.
- Mathematics and statistics.
You should show strong qualitative and quantitative research skills with interests in:
- Mental health issues.
- Previous experience in journal or conference publications will be preferred.
