Opportunity description
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers Postgraduate Research Scholarships for international students in all study areas for 2021 in Australia. The faculties are: Creative Industries Faculty, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Law, Business School and Science and Engineering Faculty.
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must apply for and be accepted into a Ph.D. or professional doctorate.
- This scholarship is not available for masters students.
- You can't hold another scholarship that is worth more than 75% of the QUT Postgraduate Research Award (Domestic).
- Depending on your previous experience and qualifications, you may need to meet English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) 6.5, TOEFL iBT (Internet-based) 79, Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) 58, Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) 176, Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) C1. You must take your test no more than 2 years before the start of your course.
- QUT Postgraduate Research Award Scholarships are not Australian Government-funded scholarships. You and any dependents are not exempt from visa application fees under this scholarship.
- You must have a completed overseas qualification comparable to the educational level of an Australian Bachelor Degree with a duration of normally no less than 4 years, and an overall GPA comparable to 5.0 on a 7-point scale (where pass = 4) AND, containing a significant and major thesis, dissertation, design project or creative work that has been examined by at least two examiners.
- OR a completed Australian Masters by Research Degree or overseas qualification comparable to the educational level of an Australian Master’s Degree (by Research)
- OR a completed Australian Masters by Coursework or Professional Doctorate or overseas qualification comparable to the educational level of an Australian Masters by Coursework or Professional Doctorate, with greater than 25% research and an overall GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7-point scale (where pass = 4).
To Keep Your Scholarship, You Must:
- Make satisfactory progress in your studies.
- Remain to study at QUT.
- Be enrolled as an internal student.
- Remain studying full-time.
Funding:
- A living allowance for three years, indexed annually ($27,596 in 2019). The scholarship is for full-time students and can be used to support living costs.
- A research degree tuition fee sponsorship.
