AIESEC offers a volunteer opportunity to teach the English language in nurseries with Quality Education in Italy. Quality Education goal is to build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, non-violent, inclusive and effective learning environments for all. 

The project aims to educate the children to the value of multiculturalism and diversity, in English. A volunteer will work approx 25 hrs/week in a kindergarten, in a village next to Mondovì, near to the mountains. The volunteer will work in synergy with the teachers to train the listening and speaking skills of the children, sharing simple aspects of his culture. Quality Education is looking for very motivated and flexible volunteers, keen to work with small children and preferably with some experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Speak English with the kids
  • Share story tales, songs and simple games with the kids
  • Assist in day-to-day activities such as providing meals and supervising the kids
  • Assist with hygiene practice (not mandatory)
  • Work in synergy with the teachers to understand and fulfill the school's needs
  • Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, desire to share and to learn
  • Participate in AIESEC events

During the volunteering period, the volunteer will receive:

  • The computer will not be provided.
  • Accommodation will be provided and covered.
  • Food will be provided (2 meal per day)
  • The volunteer is required to have his own valid health insurance before the arrival and to send a scan of it to giorgia.scaglia@aiesec.net .

Selection Process:

The estimated process time is 5 days

  • After applying on the website, applicant will be contacted by the project manager (1 day) 
  • The project manager will send the applicant the link of an application form he have to fill in within 24 hrs, with his personal informations, CV and a video of about 3-4 minutes (1 day) 
  • If the applicant is suitable for the project his application will be accepted. He will have 3 days to sign the contract, pay the fee to his committee and take the LDA (Leadership development Assessment) test. The project manager may ask the applicant further questions or set up a short interview for particular projects (3 days)
