Opportunity description

Bond University in Australia offers the Transformer Scholarship to domestic and international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate program at the university and begin their studies in the January 2027 semester.

The scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate strong leadership skills, active involvement in community and extracurricular activities, and a clear interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, and solving real-world problems.

During their studies, scholarship recipients also participate in Bond University’s Transformer Program, where they work in multidisciplinary teams with support from academics, industry experts, and mentors.

Available Programs

The scholarship may be used for:

  1. Undergraduate degree programs.
  2. Approved combined degree programs.
  3. Professional postgraduate programs.

The following programs are excluded:

  1. The Medical Program.
  2. Research master’s and doctoral programs.

Benefits

  • A tuition fee waiver of up to 50%.
  • The scholarship may be used toward an undergraduate degree, including approved combined degree programs of up to 320 credit points.
  • It may also be used for professional master’s degree programs.
  • Participation in the Transformer innovation and entrepreneurship program.
  • Mentorship and support from academics and industry experts.
  • Access to university facilities and resources to implement a project or develop an innovative idea.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Be either international or Australian students.
  2. Apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Bond University.
  3. Not have previously commenced studies at Bond University.
  4. Meet the admission requirements of their selected program.
  5. Be prepared to begin their studies in the following January semester.
  6. Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  7. Be actively involved in service to their school or community.
  8. Have a strong record of extracurricular participation.
  9. Show the potential to create positive change.
  10. Commit to participating in and completing the Transformer Program during their studies.

Required Documents

For Undergraduate Applicants

  1. An application for admission to Bond University.
  2. A scholarship application.
  3. Evidence of leadership, initiative, and service to the school or community.
  4. The official Summary of Achievements form, which is mandatory for undergraduate applicants.
  5. Contact details for a school guidance counsellor or career adviser who can provide a reference letter, if the applicant has recently completed secondary school.
  6. An introductory video in English lasting no more than five minutes.

Bond University does not accept a CV as a substitute for the required Summary of Achievements form for undergraduate applicants.

For Postgraduate Applicants

  1. An application for admission to the selected program.
  2. A scholarship application.
  3. A personal statement explaining the reasons for applying.
  4. An updated CV.
  5. An introductory video in English lasting no more than five minutes.

Video Requirements

The video should explain:

  1. The applicant’s interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, and creating positive change.
  2. The real-world problem they wish to address and why it is important.
  3. The potential solutions or project idea they would like to develop.
  4. Why they are well suited to implement the idea or address the problem.
  5. The relevant experience and personal qualities they possess.
  6. Why they wish to study at Bond University and participate in the Transformer Program.
