Raed Cartoon is inviting all creative cartoonists all over the world to participate in the 6th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest - Turkey 2022. The 6th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest will be held with the theme “Breaking Free of Addiction”.
About the Competition:-
- The Green Crescent, aiming to draw attention to and raise awareness of addiction, is organizing the 6th annual contest, which receives immense interest each year.
- It is expected that the works focus on alcohol, tobacco, substance, gambling, and technology addictions under the main theme of “Breaking Free of Addiction”.
- Cartoonist Varol Yasaroglu is among the jury panel.
Benefits
- The first place winner will receive 15,000 TRY.
- The second place winner will receive 12,500 TRY.
- The third place will receive 10,000 TRY.
- Additionally, 7,500 TRY will be awarded to the 3 achievement award winners each, as well as another 3,500 TRY to the Mazhar Osman Special Award winner.
- The ‘Under 16’ category, taking submissions this year for the first time, will earn 3 winners 7,500 TRY.
Eligibility criteria
- The contest will accept submissions in the category “Under 16” for the first time this year.
- Submissions are open to all artists both professional and amateur worldwide.
Evaluation Criteria:-
Works participating in the contest are evaluated in terms of the artistic quality, appropriate humorous level to the subject, and the social and cultural influence power related to the subject.

Raed Cartoon is a website interested in the field of cartooning in addition to the artist's news and festivals all over the world, founded by the Syrian artist Raed Khalil. Raed Khalil is a Syrian cartoonist born in Syria on March 1, 1973. He started working in publications in 1988. He founded the website “Syria Cartoon” and founded the International Cartoon Competition in Syria in 2005.
