Volunteer for Youth in Denmark from the European Youth Portal

The European Youth Portal is pleased to announce a volunteer opportunity in Denmark for a total of 52 weeks during the period 01/08/2023 to 31/07/2024, which considers one of the unique opportunities for cross-cultural networking. As a volunteer at Houens Odde Spejdercenter, you will be a part of the staff mixed between permanent staff and Danish/foreign volunteers who take care of the daily work at the center. 

Activity Topics:

• Environment and natural protection
• Physical education and sport

You will be responsible for:

• Participating in on-arrival and mid-term training.
• Participating in scout summer camp as a staff member.
• A part of the staff who takes care of the daily work at the center. 
• A personal project with a focus on the topics: Inclusion/diversity and green policies.

You should follow the following criteria:

• You must be interested in practical outdoor jobs, kitchen work, cleaning jobs, and activity instructors.
• You must be interested in learning.
•  Being a scout is not a must. It is a good idea to have a driver's license since many jobs require a car or a tractor.
•  Good English skills is a must.
•  You should be interested in living in an international atmosphere respecting others' religions, values, and social issues.
