Opportunity description
Community Development Authority is seeking out volunteers within Al Khawaneej Community Council 2021.
Nabdhalemarat Volunteer Team, headed by Sheikha Fatima bint Hasher bin Dalmouk, In cooperation with the Community Development Authority in Dubai, we invite you to volunteer in: Dubai Councils volunteer for Al Khawaneej Community Council from October 15, 2021 till end of the year. Everyday from 4-10 PM.
Duties & responsibilities
- Daily attendance in councils, receiving and welcoming council visitors.
- Informing council leaders about council facilities status.
- Taking notes of council leaders.
- Supervising the implementation of the agenda of events in the councils.
- Distribution of event questionnaires.
- Certificates of Appreciation.
- Volunteer hours.
Eligibility criteria
UAE nationals of both gender. It’s preferable that volunteer is a resident of Al Khawaneej.
Termination of the Volunteer Agreement:
The volunteer agreement ends in any of the following cases:
- The expiration of the volunteer work or the expiration of the term of the volunteer agreement.
- One of the parties to the Volunteer Agreement notifies the other party of its desire to terminate the Volunteering Agreement while it is still in force, provided that such notification is written and takes place within a reasonable period before the expiry of the period specified in the Volunteer Agreement.
- A breach inflicted by one of the parties to the agreement of its obligations stipulated in the volunteering agreement.
- The volunteer’s death or illness that prevents him/her from carrying out the volunteer work.
- Sentencing the volunteer with a penalty restricting freedom by virtue of a final court ruling.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:
The volunteer shall be exempted from civil and criminal liability to the same extent enjoyed by the employee of the Volunteering Entity, provided that all necessary controls and conditions are met for exemption from liability, and in particular the following:
- To be registered with the Authority.
- The volunteer agreement concluded between volunteer and the volunteer entity is still valid.
- Volunteer has had received adequate training, and that volunteer work should not exceed the work he/she was trained for.
- That the Volunteer Work undertaken by him/her is in good faith, with the aim of carrying out the Volunteer Work specified in the Volunteer Agreement, and not to receive any reward or personal benefit.
- There should be no negligence or error on the part of the Volunteer.
Volunteer Responsibility:
The Volunteering Entity shall be responsible to third parties for the results of the Volunteer Work performed by the Volunteer.

The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.
