Animation Film Competition About Africa from LIFANIMA International Festival 2020

Film Freeway opened the application for the Lagos International Festival of Animation, LIFANIMA. LIFANIMA is one of the major animation festivals on the African continent, hosted in Lagos which is home to Nigeria's Nollywood, the World's 3rd largest film industry. LIFANIMA is dedicated to the promotion of Animation in Africa. LIFANIMA attracts the continent's new generation of animators and visual effects talents and studios, as well as stakeholders in the film industry.

Eligibility criteria:

1. The film must be either produced in Africa or by Africans in the diaspora
2. It should reflect African values, culture, history or society
3. It should have been produced within the last 3 years.
4. Submissions must indicate a category under which the work is being submitted. Each submission must be entered separately. However, the festival reserves the right to place a submission into a different category where necessary.
5. Works produced in any language other than English must have English Subtitles.
6. Films must be submitted preferably in MP4 HD, 1920 x 1080p.

Prizes:

LIFANIMA gives awards in four categories:

1. Best 2D animation
2. Best 3D animation
3. Best animation commercial
4. Best visual effects
