<p>Film Freeway opened the application for the Lagos International <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Events-Festivals-and-Conferences" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Festival</strong></a> of Animation, LIFANIMA. LIFANIMA is one of the major animation festivals on the African continent, hosted in Lagos which is home to Nigeria&#39;s Nollywood, the World&#39;s 3rd largest film industry. LIFANIMA is dedicated to the promotion of Animation in Africa. LIFANIMA attracts the continent&#39;s new generation of animators and visual effects talents and studios, as well as stakeholders in the film industry.</p><h3>Eligibility criteria:</h3><ol><li>The film must be either produced in Africa or by Africans in the diaspora</li><li>It should reflect African values, culture, history or society</li><li>It should have been produced within the last 3 years.</li><li>Submissions must indicate a category under which the work is being submitted. Each submission must be entered separately. However, the festival reserves the right to place a submission into a different category where necessary.</li><li>Works produced in any language other than English must have English Subtitles.</li><li>Films must be submitted preferably in MP4 HD, 1920 x 1080p.</li></ol><h3>Prizes:</h3><p>LIFANIMA gives awards in four categories:</p><ol><li>Best 2D animation</li><li>Best 3D animation</li><li>Best animation commercial</li><li>Best visual effects</li></ol><h3>Film Freeway:</h3><p>Film Freeway is the world&#39;s number 1 way to discover and submit to film festivals and creative contests.
