Opportunity description
The European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics ERCIM offers the opportunity for Ph.D. holders from all over the world to get their Fellowship in a wide range of fields. The Fellowships are of 12 months duration spent in one of the ERCIM institutes. ERCIM allows the fellows to work on a challenging problem that faces the leading European research centers. In addition, ERCIM helps the fellows widen and intensify their network of personal relations and understanding among each other.
The Conditions:
- The applicant has to obtain a Ph.D. degree during the last 8 years prior to the application year deadline or be in the last year of the thesis work with an outstanding academic record.
- The applicant must obtain a list of publications in addition to two scientific papers in English.
- A member institute will not be eligible to host a candidate of the same nationality.
- The fellowship is restricted to two terms only.
Selection Criteria:
- Scientific expertise of the applicant.
- Quality of scientific publications.
- Relevance of the fellowship research agenda.
- Interest/ added-value for ERCIM.
- Previous mobility / professional experiences.
- The number of available positions based on the needs of the member institutes and their available funding.
Knowing that each application is reviewed by one or more senior scientists in each participating ERCIM institute.
