Die Photographische Sammlung is offering Portrait Photography Competition to promote young artists working in the field of documentary and conceptual photography.

Eligibility criteria
- The prize is designed to promote young artists working in the field of documentary and conceptual photography.
- National and international artists aged 40 on the closing date of the competition and under who work mainly with photography are eligible to enter.
Required Documents:
- Completed entry form
- Copy of identity card or passport
- A largely completed series of maximum 20 photographs made especially for the award in a PDF file (max. 10MB). The title of the PDF should be as follows: “candidates name_title of the series.pdf”.
About Die Photographische Sammlung:
In honor of August Sander’s seminal contribution to portrait photography, the candidates’ photographic work should primarily focus on portraiture. The prize is awarded every two years. National and international artists aged 40on the closing date of the competition and under who work mainly with photography are eligible to enter.
