Short Film Competition with 3000 euro Award from Animayo Festival

The Seventeenth International Summit ANIMAYO 2022 has opened its call for entries and invites you to be part of the new edition of the event. The International Short Film Competition for Animation, Visual Effects and Video Games ANIMAYO 2022 opens the doors to creativity and artistic promotion, in order to select the best work of animation, visual effects and video games of the 17th edition of the International Summit Animayo.

About the Competition:-

• Theme: There are no restrictions regarding the theme of the work. The promoter reserves the right not to admit to contest works in which the competition committee adduce apologies to any type of terrorism, extreme violence and / or gender, racism, sect or affinity to extreme nationalisms such as Nazism.
• Techniques: All techniques are accepted: 2D animation, 3D animation, visual effects, experimental, stop motion, etc…
• Types: Advertising pieces, animation spots, music videos (as long as they include animation or visual effects), virtual and/or augmented reality and video game cinematic are accepted.

Competition Categories:-

• The Jury of the Category of Animation in Spanish must determine the delivery of the Award 'BestShort Film in Spanish', while the Jury of the category of Cinematics, Music Videos and Advertising (Commissioned), must declare winners in the following categories:
• Best Video Game Cinematics.
• Best Music Video.
• Best Advertising (Commissioned).
• Other categories that will be considered by the International Jury, and that may be modified, replaced, increased, or reduced, will be:
• Social Awareness.
• Best 2D short.
• Best 3D short.
• Best Short of Visual Effects.
• Best Short of Humor for all audiences.
• Best Short of Humor only for adults.
• Best Short from Students.
• Best Advertising.
• Best Musical Video Clip.
• Best Videogames Cinematic.
• Special Mentions of the Jury.
• Best Virtual Reality / 360º.

• Winning prize for the ‘Grand Jury Award’: 3.000 euros. The amount of the economic endowment is subject to the taxes or retentions in force according to Law, except of exemption granted by the competent organ of the TaxAdministration. 
• The promoter reserves the right to grant prizes as Special Mentions.

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Participants of any nationality and residence are eligible..
• Participants can not have any kind of personal, professional, commercial, direct or indirect connection with the Animayo Festival. Neither may be linked to any of the companies that sponsor or collaborate with the Festival.
• Family members and employees up to the second degree of consanguinity / affinity of the organizing company, and of any of its subsidiary companies or companies related to the activity and promotion of the contest, are excluded from participating in the contest.
• All works must include credit titles.
• All the short films and pieces that have not been presented in previous editions of Animayo and whose productions are from the year 2020 onwards will be admitted to the contest.
• It is not necessary to be unpublished works, but those works that have not been premiered in other Festivals before will be positively valued.
• Maximum duration of the work is 30 minutes.
