The SaveAs Writers Association is pleased to announce the launch of its International Writing Competition for 2025. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of artist J.M.W. Turner, writers and poets are invited to participate under the theme "Facing the Storm."
- Accepted entries include poems up to 60 lines and stories up to 3500 words.
- Entries are judged anonymously. The author's name and address should not appear.
Judges include Mara Adamitz Scrupe for poems and Victoria Grainger for short stories. Entry fees apply: £4 per poem; £5 per story.
Competition prizes include:
- Poetry Prize: £200 for the winner, £100 for second place, £50 for third place.
- Fiction Prize: £200 for the winner, £100 for second place, £50 for third place.
The submission deadline is midnight, 31st August 2025. All entries must be submitted via the official SaveAs website.
